About The Author

Michael Hauss is a Canadian author and retired construction engineering manager. Raised in a military family, he developed a lifelong interest in the Second World War, which inspired his historical novel The Blond Wolf. That fascination led him to one of the war’s most gripping what-ifs: a conspiracy within Germany’s own ranks to assassinate Adolf Hitler after the catastrophic defeat at Stalingrad. Through General Maximilian Hesch, the celebrated panzer commander torn between loyalty and ambition, Hauss explores war, power and betrayal, and the moral cost of breaking an oath. His storytelling brings wartime tension to readers who love historical fiction.
